This reproduction recreates the Rosetta Stone, one of history's most significant discoveries. The original stone, found in 1799 near Rosetta, Egypt, carries a decree issued in Memphis in 196 BC under King Ptolemy V, inscribed in three scripts: ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs at the top, Demotic script (everyday Egyptian writing) in the middle, and Ancient Greek at the bottom. That trilingual inscription gave scholars, including Jean-François Champollion, the key to finally decipher hieroglyphs — a breakthrough that transformed our understanding of Pharaonic civilization.
