This museum reproduction recreates the famous "Meidum Geese" painting, one of the finest surviving works of Old Kingdom Egyptian art. The scene depicts six geese feeding among tufts of grass, each rendered with strikingly natural detail in its plumage. The original decorated the mastaba of Nefermaat at Meidum, dating to the early 4th Dynasty (c. 2600 BCE), and is now displayed in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
