DESCRIPTION

Goddess Selket, also known as Selket, is an ancient Egyptian deity associated with scorpions and healing. Depicted as a woman with a scorpion on her head, she was believed to protect against poisonous bites and stings. Selket was also associated with embalming and the afterlife, often portrayed guarding the canopic jars that housed the mummified organs of the deceased. As a powerful guardian, she offered both physical and spiritual protection, symbolizing the balance between life and death in Egyptian mythology.
